"Don't shoot what it looks like, shoot what it feels like"

David Alan Harvey

About me...

Born and raised in the UK, I moved to New Zealand in 2013. I can't actually remember first picking up a camera but do have photographic evidence that it was a 'thing' for me way back in the swinging '60's.

After many point & shoots, I bought my first DSLR at the turn of the century! Hahaha! that makes it seem an age ago. Photography soon became a passion and I spent my time learning, improving and honing my skills. I realise that even though I put that in the past tense, this piece of string is never ending and I continue to learn, improve and hone.

I shifted to my Olympus mirrorless system in 2015, soon after my move to NZ and it is now my favourite accessory to zhuzh up any outfit.

I love many genres of photography. I am often pulled this way and that as I discover the beauty of ICM, street, macro or seascapes to name but a few. I change my style more often than my lens but realise this is merely a reflection of how I live my life... never one to be pigeon-holed.

The images here on my site are simply the ones I love. This may change, as will my site but I feel it pertinent to leave my early images on here as proof of progression.

Enjoy!
